A note for young illustrators

If you’ve emailed me your work, please know that I’ve seen it and am floored by your talent. I’m just simply not in a position to assign work (and haven’t been for some time, as my career path has bobbed and weaved). But I save all your emails and truly appreciate you sending me your work. If I were to respond to them all, it would be a big stream of gush, heart eye emojis, and exclamation points, which I’m sure google would eventually presume is spam. This is sometimes a soul-sucking life path we’ve embarked on. Know that you’re amazing and I’m rooting for you.
